Work

2019 - 2021 / de Roond

“The name ‘de Roond’ appears for the first time in the year 1352 and roughly translates to tree stump, fallen down tree or something of that nature. Presumably this tree was located at a notable place or had a remarkable shape.”

All photographs have been made throughout the Netherlands on walks following no particular strategy.

2021 - / Untitled (as of yet)

Presented as a series, this work has been taken from my recent archives of photographs taken all over the Netherlands, collected while thinking about the landscape as a tale of assembled elements. Where the street consists of nothing more than a set of mere coincidences.

[Exhibited Dec 2021 at Melkweg Amsterdam. Inkjet prints on Baryta paper 50CM x 37,5CM / 66,7CM x 50CM in home-made, wooden frames]

2019 - / Ongoing

Ongoing series of landscape photographs. This series has yet to find it's shape.
